'Hunger Games' cast

The Internet is abuzz with casting rumors for the big-screen adaptation of the first book in the "Hunger Games" trilogy. We're taking a look at the familiar faces attached so far. See pictures.

The Academy Award nominee didn't land the lead role without a little controversy.

Character: Haymitch Abernathy
The Oscar nominee got the part rumored to be going to this actor.

The Australian actor is best known for his famous ex-girlfriend and his Thor-playing big brother.

The son of famous parents, he is making his acting debut as one of the series’ bad guys.

The actress, cast as one of the books’ career tributes, is known for her work on “All My Children” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Donald Sutherland

Character: President Snow
The “M*A*S*H” actor landed his part after filming had already started. As tall as he is Sutherland doesn’t exactly match the physical description of his character.

Lenny Kravitz

Character: Cinna
The rocker reportedly won the part because of his impressive performance as a nurse in an Academy Award-nominated movie.
