Nick, 37, opted for a suit by Dolce & Gabbana, and was as thrilled as his new wife that they’d managed to surprise their guests.

Zara Phillips Wedding

 Zara Phillips Wedding
Zara Phillips wedding- Just three months after Prince William and Kate said "I do" at Westminster Abbey, the Duke of Cambridge's cousin,Zara Phillips, also did the same yesterday. Royal Princess Zara Phillips, 30, had done her own royal wedding rehearsal on Friday with Mike Tindall, a 32-year-old Rugby player,at Canongate Kirk church. The accomplished equestrian looked laid-back and happy as she left the church. Their official wedding was held on 30 July 2011 in Edinburgh, Scotland at the Canongate Kirk which is decked out with white roses and beech tree branches. The couple chose a church as far from Westminster Abbey and Canongate Kirk is a small Church of Scotland venue where the Queen worships when she stays in Edinburgh.
William, Kate and also Princesses Beatric, Eugenie all arrived to Edinburgh around the time of the rehearsal on Friday. Zara's mother Princess Anne was in attendance Friday at the wedding rehearsal.
On Friday night, the wedding party was celebrateed aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia for the reception before the wedding. It was Zara`s wish to have the reception on the old Britannia in the wedding`s eve because she has many beautiful memories from the royal yacht. At the cocktail reception there are expected around 150 guests.
Zara Anne Elizabeth Phillips was born on 15 May 1981. She is the second child and only daughter of The Princess Royal Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips and is thirteenth in the line of succession to the throne. She doesn't have a royal title at her mother's request. She is married to England rugby union player Mike Tindall, but has elected to keep her maiden name for professional reasons. An equestrian, Phillips is the former Eventing World Champion who won the World Championship in Aachen and was voted 2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year that year by the British viewing public.
Phillips’ wore an ivory silk and duchess satin gown by Stewart Parvin, as well as Jimmy Choo shoes and a tiara. While Zara, who arrived at 3:05pm, donned a gown designed by one of her grandmother's favourite couturiers, Stewart Parvin. The UK designer creates outfits for the Queen and in 2007 was awarded the Royal Warrant of Appointment.
Unlike her cousin's wedding, there will be no cameras inside the church and no order of service will be published. In fact, police state that they're considering the ceremony a wedding between two sportspeople rather than the 13th in line to the throne and her groom.Police predict that there will be room for only 1,500 onlookers on the narrow Royal Mile to catch a glimpse of couple and more likely of Kate Middleton. This is the second royal wedding of 2011. But it did not get as much attention as Wills and Kate's wedding. That's just how the bride and groom want it. But crowds attended the event with equal enthusiasm.
Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, attended the wedding arriving in a black Jaguar together. The loudest cheers were saved for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Other members of the Royal family arrived from the nearby Palace of Holyroodhouse, one of Queen Elizabeth's official residences. Among the guests were the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke of York and his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Zara's godfather, the former Formula One racing champion Sir Jackie Stewart, and Una Healy, a member of girl group The Saturdays.
he wedding reception is being held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s residence, which is close to the church. It will cost approximately $800,000 to police the royal day, with marksmen being positioned around the locations to ensure the safety of the high profile royal guests.
After the wedding, the bride and groom won't take up residence in a London palace like Wills and Kate, who recently moved into a wing of Kensington Palace. Instead, they will return to their small but perfectly formed country estate where, instead of a honeymoon, Zara will spend time with her seven horses while Mike gets back to training. Tindall himself said that after the wedding, the couple will not be able to have a honeymoon because he and Zara are very busy and have lots of commitments the next period of time.
Zara and Mike were first introduced by Harry in Australia in 2003, not long after Zara had split from her former fiancé, jockey Richard Johnson. The couple have shunned royal 'hot spots' like Mahiki in favour of low key pubs near their home in Gloucestershire. There, Zara and Mike have lived a very normal life, or as normal as it can be when your grandmother is the queen.
England team`s captain also known as “The Fridge” is usually on command, but we can`t say the same when it comes to the wedding and to his relationship with the Queen`s granddaughter. But although Zara takes the decisions in their relationship, Tindall refused to take her and her mother`s advice and to get a nose operation before the wedding.
Also Zara and Mike had bought a new £800,000 home together before their marriage. They bought the five-bedroom mansion in Gloucestershire in April and have spent £250,000 renovating it.The three-storey Georgian house has a large country kitchen and garden - but no stables for Zara's 14 horses. The couple had been living rent-free in a two-bedroom cottage on Princess Anne's estate for almost three years.

Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly described as "creepy" a new exhibition featuring the wedding dress worn by the former Kate Middleton when she married Prince William in April.
The Alexander McQueen dress is being exhibited on a headless mannequin in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace, with the tiara and veil that the now Duchess of Cambridge wore, suspended above it.
During a private tour with her new granddaughter-in-law before the exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, the queen was heard to say "horrible" and "horrid" as she stood in front of the dress.
"It's made to look very creepy," said the monarch, while Catherine responded that it had a "3D effect", according to a reporter from Britain's Press Association news agency who was there.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "This was part of a private conversation between the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge and we do not comment on private conversations".
The dress, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, is made of ivory and white satin-gazar (stiffened organza) and will be on display as part of the summer exhibition at the palace, which runs until October 3.
Hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected to flock to see the gown following huge interest in the April 29 wedding at Westminster Abbey, which was watched by an estimated two billion people worldwide.

Beatrice Eugenie Sarah in Tears

Thursday, 28 July 2011

Beatrice Eugenie Sarah in Tears- The daughters of Britain's Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Princesses Beatrice, 20, and Eugenie, 18 were filmed deeply distressed and broke down into tears in discussions about the disasters and scandals of their mother's life for her reality TV show 'Finding Sarah'. They were devastated by their mother's financial problems. In clips which show Eugenie in tears, Sarah said: "Seeing Eugenie so upset brought out the fighter in me."
Further scenes, which aired on Sunday night in the US show Beatrice crying while discussing her mother's "re-invention". Both of the sisters took part in reality TV show 'Finding Sarah' for Oprah Winfrey's new network OWN which documents their mother going on a soulful journey to rebuild her self-esteem, after she was caught trying to sell access to her former husband but new scenes have shown how upset her children were by the events.
The six-part Finding Sarah series has tracked the duchess as she attempted to get her spending problems under control. The final episode, which was shown on Sunday, focused on the moment the Duchess discovered she had become the center of a News of The World sting.
In a tear-drenched, embarrassingly emotional TV series broadcast in the U.S. on the Oprah Winfrey channel, the Duchess, who has always prided herself on being a good mother, exploits her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, by allowing them to weep.
As the infamously toe-sucked, debt-ridden, disaster-prone former daughter-in-law of the Queen was banished from royalty’s inner circles, so she is among those who highlights the Royal Family’s unfortunate capacity for unforgiving ostracism. But Sarah, 51, who was married to Prince Andrew for 10 years until they divorced in 1996, declared she is "debt free" for the first time in her life. Thanks to the help of her former husband, only weeks after claiming she was still on the brink of bankruptcy.

Tropical Storm Don

Tropical storm don- Tropical Storm Don, the fourth named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, was churning northwestward across the southern Gulf of Mexico toward the Texas coast.
A tropical storm watch was in effect for the coast, from the mouth of the Rio Grande River to west of San Luis Pass, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said early Thursday.

At 8 a.m. EDT, Don was packing maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour (65 kmph) and was located about 545 miles east-southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The center of Don should move through the southern and central Gulf of Mexico later Thursday and approach Texas on Friday.
"Some strengthening is possible during the next 48 hours. An Air Force Reserve hurricane hunter aircraft is en route to investigate Don," the Miami-based hurricane center said.
Don's current path would take it near oil and gas operations in the western and west-central part of the Gulf, mostly avoiding the biggest concentrations of production platforms south of New Orleans, but near several coastal refineries.

Jobless Claims Fall

Jobless claims fall- The number of Americans claiming new jobless benefits hit a three-month low last week and contracts to buy existing homes rose in June, hopeful signs for an economy that has struggled to regain momentum.

Initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 24,000 to 398,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday, below economists' expectations for a fall to 415,000.
A separate report from the National Association of Realtors showed pending home sales rose 2.4 percent in June, the second straight monthly increase. Contracts usually lead sales by a month or two.
The reports offered some relief after a recent string of weak data, which had shown the economy closing out the first half of the year on a soft note. A deadlock in Washington over raising the nation's debt limit has hurt sentiment.
"Claims provide some hints that the economy is going to do better in the third quarter," said Michael Strauss, chief economist at Commonfund in Wilton, Connecticut.
"Assuming we don't get massive government furloughs because we don't get the debt limit raised in the next couple of days or couple of weeks, we would probably see GDP growth in the 3 percent range in the second half of year as opposed to sub 2 percent in the first half."
U.S. stocks rose on the data, a day after posting their biggest fall in eight weeks. Prices for Treasuries also increased despite fears of the government defaulting on its debt, while the dollar fell against a basket of currencies.

Winehouse 'was with mystery man'

Winehouse 'was with mystery man'- There are lots of rumors and gosspips about the meeting of Amy Winehouse with a mystery man before her death. It came in to media that Winehouse met an unidentified man shortly before her death.  Police is now investigating Amy Winehouse's final movements and trying to get all the details about the last few hours of her life before her body found. And they are investigating reports she was with an unidentified male for some time the previous night. There is an amid cliam that Winehouse spent time with a mystery man on the Friday night are also being looked into.
Officers are piecing together the "missing hours" leading up to the discovery of the body. They want to determine whether there is any truth to rumours that she was with a man for several hours on Friday night.
A source close to the singer said: "She led a very chaotic lifestyle and quite often she would head out very late or even in the early hours of the morning to see her friends. No one really knows what Amy did after she was checked on by her doctor at 8pm." "There is a possibility she left her home at some point during the evening and some of her friends believe she may have headed out later."
It also emerged yesterday that Amy suffered hallucinations, vomiting and insomnia in the months before her death.Officers have already spoken to three "significant individuals", while an inquest has been adjourned until October 26.
The Back To Black star's body was found at 4pm on Saturday. Her dad Mitch said he believes Amy stayed in playing drums and singing that night - but police want to explore every eventuality and have already spoken to three "significant individuals".Officers have taken accounts from Amy's bodyguard, her doctor and a third friend - thought to be her childhood pal Tyler James.
The GP's notes are said to be crucial as police develop a picture of the singer's physical and mental health.
The source added: "It's important to get a clear picture of who she was with in the days and hours leading up to her death."
Friends say over the last few weeks, Amy regularly had seizures and fits of uncontrollable shaking.
But most worrying were the ghoulish visions that came to her in the middle of the night - one friend claimed she regularly saw people coming out of mirrors and mice scurrying around her feet.
The source said: "The hallucinations must have been truly terrifying. The line between reality and fantasy was increasingly blurred and Amy found it intolerable at times."
"No one can really appreciate how tough it has been for her. Even if she never touched drugs or alcohol again, her body had fallen to pieces. There was only so much it could take. Physically, she was a wreck. It was heartbreaking."
Amy was also afflicted with terrible insomnia. The source said: "She just couldn't sleep. It drove her to her wits' end but there was nothing she could do about it."
At her cremation on Tuesday, Amy's dad Mitch, 60, said his daughter had been winning her health battles. In a heartfelt eulogy, he said she had conquered her drug addiction and was "trying hard to deal with her drinking".But a friend of the star said: "The reality was different and Amy was suffering a great deal."
Amy left a £15.3million fortune in cash, property and companies.Mitch and Amy's mum Janis are expected to plough cash into a foundation in her name to help those struggling with substance abuse. The source added: “It’s important to get a clear picture of what was happening and who Amy was with in the days and hours leading up to her death.”

The pie-throwing attacker is a comedian who calls himself Jonnie Marbles, according to The Telegraph.
Rupert and his son James Murdoch, as well as the host of MPs grilling them, were surprised when a man made a run for the octogenarian and tried to shove what appeared to be a shaving cream pie in his face after calling him “greedy,” according to CNBC.
Camera feeds quickly turned away and transmission was cut, but the shot revealed a courageous defense by Wendi Murdoch, Rupert’s wife.  Wendi had quick feet and managed to disrupt the creaming of Rupert.
Footage showed the assailant being arrested outside Parliament, most of the pie on his own face, as Bobbies wiped him with a tissue.
The committee was back in session eight minutes later, with camera feeds transmitting the hearing live once again, revealing a jacket-less Rupert Murdoch appearing relatively untroubled by the attack.

Courtney Stodden & Doug Hutchison

"I'm very mature for my age. I'm an old soul."
The 16-year-old aspiring singer and her much-much older actor husband broke the silence on their controversial relationship.
Courtney Stodden 35-year Age Difference
Green Mile's Doug Hutchison took a stroll through Los Angeles on Sunday with his wife, Courtney Stodden, and his mother-in-law, Krista Stodden. Hutchison, 51, and Courtney, 16, came under fire for their 35-year-age difference when they married in May, but it was Courtney's parents who gave permission for their daughter to say "I do."
Hutchison, who met Courtney online and developed a virtual relationship with her before discovering that she was a minor, wanted the aspiring singer-actress' parents' blessing. "I said [that] if you and [Courtney's father] have any misgivings whatsoever about this, if you are uncomfortable with it, I will respect you, and Courtney will respect you, and we will step back," he said in an interview with Good Morning America earlier this month.
Courtney's mother and father Alex, 47, trusted their daughter's judgment and ultimately gave parental consent so that she could legally marry her much-older beau. It was actually Krista who first suggested the duo get married in a state that would allow it.
But not everyone was as accepting as Courtney's mom of this May-December romance. Hutchison's agent and manager dropped him, and his own mother cut ties with him. "We knew this was gonna happen," he said. "We knew we were gonna have to weather the repercussions of our decision and our union. This is just the beginning. It brought us closer together."

Prince William Jokes About Nude Pics
With a beaming Duchess Kate at his side, Prince William cracked one joke after another during their very first engagement in L.A. on Friday night.
After landing in Los Angeles just before 4 p.m from Canada, the Duke and Duchess, both 29, were special guests for the "Case Study on Tech City" panel at Variety's Venture Capital and New Media Summit held at the Beverly Hilton.
The crowd of tech entrepreneurs in the audience couldn't help but get excited -- standing to applaud and cheer -- when the royals made their entrance to the stage. Giggling and resplendent in a lavender Peridot dress by Roksanda Illinic, Kate joined her hubby to wave to the crowd and warmly shake hands with moderators onstage.
After listening to the 20-minute presentation with keen interest, they stayed on hand to chat some more and then visited several booths showcasing new products and technologies -- with some middle-aged CEOs even taking off their shoes to stand on their chairs and take camera phone pics as they passed by!
Wayne St. Amand, Vice President, Marketing of Crimson Hexagon showed the royal couple data about Canadian interest in the new British monarchy. "William made a joke!" Amand told Us Weekly. "He said, 'There should have been a category of people who were only interested because they had nothing better to do!'"

Affluent Nations Depression

Affluent nations depression- According to survey statistics happiness of wealthy country people is no greater! The research findings of an international New Scientist happiness survey and other more local studies for health and happiness may surprise you! Affluent countries, including the U.S., tend to have higher rates of depression than lower-income nations such as Mexico, a new study from World Health Organization researchers suggests.
Depression rates are consistenty higher in more affluent countries than in low income countries, according to researchers who correlated socioeconomic data with depression levels. The new study tracked depression rates across 18 countries, noting that the average lifetime occurrence of depression in 10 affluent countries was 14.6 percent, with much higher depression rates in France (21 percent) and the US (19.2 percent). For those living in higher-income countries, the average age that depression is likely to strike is between 25 and 26 years old, according to the researchers.
Happiness is an emotional state that indicates our satisfaction with life; a measure of how favorable we perceive the overall quality of our life to be.
Throughout human history, philosophers have considered happiness as the most fundamental motivation for all human action. It is assumed to be our ultimate goal in life – everything we do merely a means to achieve it.
Indeed, when questioned most of us would identify the quest for greater happiness as the great motivating force behind everything we do to improve our material prosperity. After all, that's even how our governments measure what they call our 'standard of living': the amount of goods and services we consume.
Where would you say that the happiest people in the world are? In the richest countries, say Europe, Australia, the United States, Canada? ...Wrong!
As part of a World Health Organization study, major depressive episodes were evaluated by trained surveyors giving in-person interviews with more than 89,037 people in 18 countries, making this the first study to assess depression with standardized surveys, said the researchers.
Why richer countries experience higher rates of depression isn't crystal clear, but the researchers suggest it might be because wealthy countries have more income inequality.  Another theory is that wealthier countries tend to be more socially fragmented and individualistic, with the pursuit of a career often taking precedence over family or spirituality.

Bayview Mackinac Race 2011

Bayview Mackinac Race 2011- Bell's Beer Signs on as Title Sponsor for the 2011 Bayview Yacht Club Mackinac Race
DETROIT, MI - Detroit's Bayview Yacht Club, one of the most storied and historical sailing clubs in the world, announced today that Bell's Brewery - a major beer producer and the largest based in Michigan -- has come aboard as the title sponsor Bayview's 2011 Port Huron to Mackinac Race.

The officially titled "Bell's Beer Bayview Mackinac Race" sets sail on Saturday, July 23, 2011, in Southern Lake Huron, just north of the Blue Water Bridge.

This year will mark 87 consecutive years for the world-class event. Some 200 plus sailboats and 2,500 sailors take part in the annual regatta with an estimated 100,000 sailing fans and families attending the festive activities in Port Huron leading to the Saturday start. For the third time, sailing fans around the world will be able to follow individual boats or the entire fleet on the Bell's Brewery and Bayview Yacht Club websites as Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking devices will be placed on all participating sailboats. In 2010, a record 4.4 million page views were hit on the web site during the race.

"This race is iconic to the State of Michigan and one of its greatest traditions, and we at Bell's Brewery are thrilled to be a part of this phenomenal event," said Larry J. Bell, President and Founder of Bell's Brewery, Inc. based in Comstock, MI. Bell's produces some 170,000 barrels of beer each year and distributes its products to 18 states.

Bell's, the largest brewery in Michigan, is well known for its famed summer "Oberon" wheat ale and "Two-Hearted Ale" among many other premium and specialty brands. Bell's has been a Bayview Mackinac Race sponsor since 2009. Pure Michigan, the state's travel bureau was the previous title sponsor and the Bayview Mackinac Race is the only event Pure Michigan sponsored in the state.

"This race is unique to the Midwest and is the longest continuously run freshwater race in the world. It features sailing in the Great Lakes and showcases the natural beauty and fresh water resources that are unique to Michigan," said Bell "We welcome sailboats and racing teams from Chicago and around the world for this grand event that marks the height of a Michigan summer."

"Bayview is absolutely thrilled to have a Michigan-based company with the high quality reputation of Bell's Beer as the title sponsor for our great race," said John C. Burke, Commodore, Bayview Yacht Club. "Many sailors here and throughout the country are familiar with Bell's Beer and their brands are becoming as iconic as this race. We welcome the Bell team's support and look forward to a fantastic year."

"The Bayview Yacht Club web site, www.byc.com, generally draws a million page views for the race; up to 10 million page views are expected to hit the www.bellsbeer.com site where the GPS tracking link for the 2011 race will be located", said 2011 Race Chairman Charlie Elmer.

"For fans and spectators we are excited to be able to use the GPS race tracking technology to bring this race to their laptops and phones for those who cannot join us for the majestic experience of being in Port Huron for the pageantry of the race start," said Elmer. "This is one of the most challenging and exciting sailboat races in the world on one of the most unpredictable bodies of fresh water in the world."

From its traditional start in Southern Lake Huron, the fleet will head North on one of two courses. The shorter course, called the "Shore Course," covers 204 nautical miles (252 statute miles) along the Michigan shoreline before heading west to Mackinac Island Bell's Beer finish line. The longer "Cove Island Course" is 259 nautical miles (298 statute miles) and takes the sailors around a buoy off the tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Canadian waters before heading West toward the Bell's Beer finish line at Mackinac Island.

Commodore Burke, an "Old Goat" veteran of 34 races, said the world-class sailboat race is "steeped in generations of sportsmanship and family tradition that touches everyone who lives here or who has ever sailed the Great Lakes."

An estimated 100,000 fans on both the U.S. and Canadian shores will cheer the sailboats as they make their way up the St. Clair River from Port Huron - with flags and pennants flying - in a spectacular nautical parade to the starting area that takes place about five miles from the Blue Water Bridge.

"I would like to extend our appreciation for the sailors, their families, friends and the staff of Bayview for all that they do to make this event such a success. I congratulate the Mackinac 2011 Race Chairman, Charlie Elmer, for an amazing job in getting this race organized and setting the stage for a safe race on two courses," said Commodore Burke.

Bayview Yacht Club, founded in 1915, is widely regarded as the premier sailing club in Michigan and the Midwest. It has been hosting the Bayview Mackinac Race since 1925. The private club is located on the Detroit River near the mouth of Lake St. Clair and has more than 1,000 members. For more information: www.byc.com.

Bell's Brewery celebrated its 25 anniversary in Michigan in September 2010. At that event Larry Bell, owner of Bell's Brewery, announced a $52 million investment over the next five years. For More information on Bell's Beer please visit: www.bellsbeer.com.

Approximately $17 million will be invested in 2011 to expand the Comstock Township plant, adding 24 new 400-barrel fermenters, a 200-barrel brew house, a new employee care area as well as space and equipment for some new specialty fermentations. An additional $35 million will be spent through 2016 to further develop the brewery's Comstock Township facility.

Bell's Brewery is quickly outpacing the definition of a regional brewer and consumer demand for its high-quality beers are exceeding current production capacities prior to the expansion/ This $52 million investment by Bell's Brewery's is targeted toward meeting consumer demand and a multi-year trend of twenty percent growth annually.

Bell began brewing beer as a lone entrepreneur 25 years ago in a 15-gallon soup kettle. Bell's Brewery is one of the few craft breweries to remain under original ownership.

Jesse james kat von d- Jesse James is “so sad” about his split from fiancée Kat Von D, claiming that he still loves her.
The 42-year-old television personality had been due to marry the 29-year-old tattoo artist in a summer wedding. They had been an item for less than a year, and Kat last night confirmed the split via social-networking site Twitter.

"I'm so sad because I really love her. The distance between us was just too much," he lamented.
Kat’s cryptic Twitter message had given less of an indication as to the reasons for the split. She was keen to show she still holds him in high esteem though.

Sarah Palin Documentary

Sarah palin documentary- Harry Potter isn't the only big-name movie hitting theaters this weekend. At long last, the two-hour Sarah Palin documentary, The Undefeated, is out — at least in Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Orange County, Calif., Orlando, and Phoenix. Sorry, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago — you'll have to wait. No one was expecting a Tea Party Citizen Kane from conservative filmmaker Stephen Bannon, but all the same, critics (who've so far given the movie a 0 percent favorability rating on Rotten Tomatoes) are deriding the film, not just for being pro-Palin propaganda, but for being "bad propaganda."
It's amateurishly bad: The Palin documentary "makes no pretense of being anything more than a full-length commercial endorsement of her character and accomplishments," says Robert Levin at The Atlantic. It's just too bad the director, conservative Stephen Bannon, isn't a better filmmaker. He beats every talking point to a pulp, "with earsplitting soundtrack flourishes, aggressive montage, and an overall state of high anxiety." The film's biggest problem isn't its "hagiographic leanings." It's the "simple fact that its director needs to go back to film school."

And quite boring: "The first hour of The Undefeated, scrupulously attentive to Palin's rise through state politics, is pretty rough going, a turgid primer in Alaska's pipeline management and oil, gas and, yes, milk subsidies," says Richard Corliss at TIME. What could have been a compelling film about Palin's place in the political landscape, and the establishment's handling of her, is marred by Bannon's clumsy, yawn-inducing attempt at propaganda. The movie might lead "even the most ardent conservatives to emulate their idol's tenure as governor and walk out halfway through."

And very thin on new material: This film is little more than "a string of encomiums against a backdrop of frantically edited archival material," says Todd McCarthy at The Hollywood Reporter. Palin wasn't even interviewed for the documentary, though some excerpts from her audio book are featured. There's no worthwhile analysis here, "nothing about her personal life, international inexperience, or interview gaffes." It's essentially a redundant, two-hour film "stitched together with a thousand sound bites" and a grating musical score.

Beachfront Hotels: Introduction

Beachfront Hotels: Introduction

Beachfront Hotels: Introduction- Memories from your beach vacation should involve the breeze in your hair and the sand in your toes — not the bill at the front desk. Budget Travel magazine’s challenge? To find 10 getaways under $150 that are less than a five-minute walk to the ocean's edge — a tall order for summer's peak season, when the average price of a waterfront hotel starts around $250 per night. Budget Travel steered clear of the Caribbean (hurricanes) and Southeast Asia (monsoons) to focus only on the most desirable summer destinations in places that don't strand you in the middle of nowhere (unless that's the point). The resulting collection of hotels and resorts, from the family-friendly mainstay of Myrtle Beach to Barcelona's sizzling shoreline, proves that wherever you want to go this summer, you can be right on the shore without breaking the bank.

Beachfront Hotels: Azul del Mar, Key Largo, Fla

Near the top of the arc that forms the Florida Keys sits Key Largo, long celebrated for its glamorous watering holes and unspoiled beaches. In 1948, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall shone a spotlight on the town with a film of the same name. Today, about 200 feet away from where the stars cracked wise at the Caribbean Club, stands Azul del Mar. Thanks to husband-and-wife proprietors Karol and Dominic Marsden, the eight-year-old hotel evokes the island's heyday. Facing Blackwater Sound and Florida Bay, guest rooms feature round porthole windows, faux Ionic columns and colorful accents throughout. Lounge on the lawn amid tropical trees, key-lime bushes and frangipani, or oceanside on the private, man-made shale beach.

Beachfront Hotels: Best Western Plus Beach Resort Monterey, Monterey, Calif.

Finding affordable waterfront digs in coastal California can be a daunting task — which makes this spot right on the beach such a pleasant surprise. Here, you're also adjacent to the 18-mile-long Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail, which leads right to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, San Carlos beach (popular with divers) and Fisherman's Wharf. This is a "Best Western Plus" (as opposed to a straightforward "Best Western"), which means perks like free Wi-Fi. The 196 rooms are painted in sweet, muted tones of cream with cranberry accents and are furnished simply with wicker furniture. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the star attraction — the view of Monterey Bay.

Beachfront Hotels: Caribbean Resort & Villas, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

This summer, the year-old Myrtle Beach boardwalk has added a 187-foot-tall Ferris wheel to its already long list of attractions (cafes, street performers, fireworks displays). Just 16 blocks north is a stretch of beach that's sugary white, with shallow waters and low waves that are perfect for beginning swimmers. The Caribbean Resort & Villas is strung along the shore, with 438 rooms and suites spread across four beachfront buildings: the Cayman and the Dominican Towers, the Chelsea House Villas and the Jamaican Motor Inn — which is where you can still find mid-summer bargains. (Bonus: Guests here have access to the inn's own pool and beach deck.) The Cayman and Dominican Towers are both geared toward families with small children — they have indoor and outdoor tubing pools, a lazy river and hot tubs, plus an outdoor waterslide area on the north side of Cayman.

Beachfront Hotels: The Chelsea, Atlantic City, N.J.

The Chelsea lit up its retro neon sign in July 2008 along the southern end of Atlantic City's salt-and-pepper shoreline. With a distinctly Rat Pack vibe, the Chelsea channels the easy glamour of a bygone era with its poolside cabanas, fireplace lounges and in-house supper club, the Chelsea Prime, which serves classics like duck ragout and homemade pappardelle. Each of the 331 rooms and suites has boutique touches, like parrot-shaped white lamps, blue velvet curtains and upscale FACE Stockholm toiletries, and the hotel's expansive spa includes a seasonally heated saltwater pool. All guests have access to the Cabana Club, a 15,000-square-foot deck on the fifth floor, whose outdoor swimming pool and indoor lounge provide ocean views.

Beachfront Hotels: El Encanto de Cabo Pulmo, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Though it's only about 60 miles northeast of the well-known resort community of Cabo San Lucas, the village of Cabo Pulmo has a rustic vibe that makes it feel a world away. A two-minute walk down a sandy path from the town's beach brings you to El Encanto de Cabo Pulmo, an inn comprised of three private suites with palm-thatch roofs, rattan chairs, vintage Oriental carpets and Mexican artwork. Opened in 2008, the solar-powered inn is hemmed by bountiful gardens designed and maintained by owners Robert Lerner and Diane Varney, who, now retired, both hold graduate degrees in botany. Set inside the eponymous national park, the town of about 100 residents has long been a haven for divers seeking out rare living coral reefs in some of the world's clearest waters. At night, the skies are nearly free of ambient electric light, presenting spectacularly clear views of constellations.

Beachfront Hotels: GBB Hotel Front Marítim, Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona has it all, so why not drop your bags at the beach to ensure your downtime here is well spent? Across the street from La Nova Mar Bella Beach — where you can rent sun beds and umbrellas and stroll the boardwalk — the four-star Hotel Front Marítim's 177 earth-toned guest rooms feel like they could have come straight out of an Ikea catalog, with clean lines, big windows and parquet floors. A night in means dining on Mediterranean cuisine such as grilled tuna topped with tomato and fried fillet of monkfish served with crisped garlic (a Catalonian specialty) at the house restaurant, Forum, which changes its menu weekly.

Beachfront Hotels: Hotel Napoleon, Menton, France

On the bright blue Bay of Garavan, about a 10-minute walk from the center of town, this chic retreat is just across the street from the beach — and less than a mile from the Italian border. (You can jog there on your morning run.) The 44-room hotel features light colors, airy rooms and soft, square armchairs in the lounge, which is right next to a small pool. It's worth spending extra for a room facing the sea — you'll be rewarded with a great view and a wooden balcony with a table and chairs. A road lines the entire seafront of Menton, but once the double-paned windows are closed, the whoosh of traffic is gone. Breakfast is served on the downstairs patio, under the banana trees. For the true Riviera experience, rent a lounge chair and umbrella (about $18 per day) on the private beach and have a waiter from the beach restaurant bring you a drink.

Amy Winehouse Husband

Saturday, 23 July 2011

Amy Winehouse Husband- British retro-soul singer Amy Jade Winehouse was found dead in her home in Camden, north London on , Saturday, July 23, 2011. This was really a shocking news as she was only 27-year-old. Her death was confirmed by the Metropolitan Police, after the London Ambulance Service was called to the singer's flat just before 4pm Saturday BST. A body, believed to be that of singer Amy Winehouse, is removed from her home following her death. The cause of death is as yet unknown but the Grammy Award winner Amy Winehouse, the soul-jazz diva whose self-destructive habits overshadowed a distinctive musical talent, had checked out of a treatment center a month ago.A really few artists summed up their own career in a single song  and a single line as well as Amy Winehouse."They tried to make me go to rehab," she sang on her world-conquering 2006 single, "Rehab." ''I said 'No, no no.'" Occasionally, she said yes, but to no avail: repeated stints in hospitals and clinics couldn't stop alcohol and drugs scuttling the career of a singer whose distinctive voice, rich mix of influences and heart-on-her sleeve sensibility seemed to promise great things.
In her short lifetime, Winehouse too often made headlines because of drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, destructive relationships and abortive performances. But it's her small but powerful body of recorded music that will be her legacy.
The singer was found dead Saturday by ambulance crews called to her home in north London's Camden area, a youth-culture mecca known for its music scene, its pubs and the availability of illegal drugs. The London Ambulance Service said Winehouse had died before crews arrived at the house in leafy Camden Square. The cause of death was not immediately known.
The singer's body was taken from her home by private ambulance to a London mortuary where post-mortem examinations were to be carried out either Sunday or Monday. Police said in a statement no arrests had been made in connection with her death.
It was not a complete surprise, but the news was still a huge shock for millions around the world. The size of Winehouse's appeal was reflected in the extraordinary range of people paying tribute as they heard the news, from Demi Moore, who tweeted "Truly sad news ... May her troubled soul find peace" to chef Jamie Oliver, who wrote "such a waste, raw talent" on the social networking site.

May her troubled soul find peace" to chef Jamie Oliver, who wrote "such a waste, raw talent" on the social networking site.

Boehner Ends Debt Talks

Boehner ends debt talks- House Speaker John Boehner walked away from debt talks with President Barack Obama's administration Friday, raising the stakes in the country's ongoing effort to stave off national default.
"In the end, we couldn't connect. Not because of different personalities, but because of different visions for our country," Boehner wrote in a letter to fellow Republicans.
Boehner said that "a deal was never reached, and was never really close."
"For these reasons, I have decided to end discussions with the White House and begin conversations with the leaders of the Senate in an effort to find a path forward," he wrote.
Speaking to reporters soon after news of Boehner's decision broke, a visibly frustrated Obama said that he has told the Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress to come to the White House on Saturday morning to "explain to me how we are going to avoid default" on the nation's debt.
The president said his administration had offered "an extraordinarily fair deal" to cut expenditures and raise revenues, in return for Congress agreeing to hikethe nation's debt ceiling. But he said that Boehner "left (him) at the altar" by ending negotiations around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, said that he found it "disappointing that the talks with the White House (and Republicans) did not reach a favorable conclusion," even as he welcomed the news that the debt-ceiling discussions would be decided in Congress.
"It's time now for the debate to move out of a room in the White House and on to the House and Senate floors where we can debate the best approach to reducing the nation's unsustainable debt," he said in a statement.
